Gratitude for grace brings glory…

“The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies Me.” {Psalm 50:23}
Gratitude for the grace God has shown you brings Him glory. It makes Him become bigger in your eyes. And when you talk about His marvelous grace to others, He becomes bigger in their eyes as well.

“I will thank You forever, because You have done it.” {Psalm 52:9}
Since I am saved, I always have something to give thanks about. God pulled me out of the pit of my sin when I was a rebel to all He desired for me. He didn’t just pull me out of the pit, but set my feet upon the firm, solid rock of His very righteousness, making my steps secure and guaranteeing eternal life…not because of anything I have done, but all because of HIS grace.

“I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of Your wonderful deeds.” {Psalm 9:1}
Recount ALL of His wonderful deeds. When you think of all the many ways God has worked in your life, don’t look over the small stuff. Recall the little things He’s done too. Thank Him for making that car stay in its lane, for that store having that dress in your size, for that song coming on the radio just when you need it.

May we be careful to thank Him for the many graces He has shown and may He be glorified in our thanksgiving.
